Queen Máxima of the Netherlands Came on Monday to a official to Pakistan after a gap of 3 Decades.The queen was obtained by senior officials of the foreign ministry and representatives of the Embassy of Netherlands at Nur Khan Air Base.
The queen is visiting Pakistan as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. The queen has been the UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate since 2009.
In this capacity, she’s actively engaged worldwide in promoting accessibility to individuals and enterprises to financial services at an affordable cost, with the aim of improving social and economic growth opportunities.During her visit, the Queen is expected to meet President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
She will hold meetings with with a variety of stakeholders in the general public and private sectors.
Queen Máxima will also attend the launch of Micro Payment Gateway, an initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan. Micro Payment Gateway is aimed at reducing cost of payments and fostering digital transactions to benefit people and promote financial inclusion.
